Teamwork gets results

Westpac volunteers get resultsWhen two teams of volunteers from the Westpac Bank took part in working bees at two of our community houses recently they certainly illustrated that team work really does get results. Eight volunteers kindly give their time, energy and talents to complete much needed jobs at the Coburg and Williamstown properties.

The aim of the working bees was to improve the amenity and quality of life for residents. The volunteers gave bedrooms and hallways a much needed coat of fresh paint. They also tidied up the garden at Coburg, making it much more accessible for residents using wheelchairs.

Westpac volunteersThe two groups’ sterling efforts followed those of another team of four, also from Westpac, who had early volunteered to help with gardening and the assembling of a raised garden at our Mt Dandenong Road property.

Half way through the working bees, the volunteers, staff and consumers, took some time out to share lunch and enjoy each other’s company.

Staff and consumers at all three houses were wrapped with the results and thanked everyone involved for their generous support.
