Daddo Charity Golf Day

Daddo Charity Golf Day 2015The 11th Annual Daddo Charity Golf Day was held on Friday 13 November and saw 150 participants registered to play.

The weather kept up tradition and once again provided a lovely warm and sunny afternoon for us. Captain Independence welcomed players on arrival, and everyone received a show bag jam-packed full of goodies as well as a polo shirt courtesy of the TAC.

As in previous years the day included nearest the pin and longest drive competitions. This year, for the first time ever, thanks to our new event partner Advance Careers, we had a hole in one competition where there was a chance on both courses to win a brand new Jeep. Most players entered the competition but unfortunately we didn’t have a winner this year. That said, Independence Australia were the winners with competition entries earning a good $1,000 toward our fundraising total on the day.

At the end of the day everyone came together at the club house for a barbeque and a few drinks. Prizes were awarded to the best players and teams, followed by the famous monster raffle which included more than $17,000 worth of donated prizes.

The event raised in excess of $55,500 net through ticket sales and sponsorship. Funds raised from the day will be used to support programmes such as our psychology and counselling program, which currently receives little or no government funding.

Winners

The sell out event was a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by all. Congratulations to all the winners of the Daddo Charity Golf Day; it was certainly a tough challenge to secure the top prizes on the world-class golf course.
