Victorian All Abilities team named for 2016


Athletes from Victoria, Western Australia, New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia will converge on Sydney looking to come away with the 2016 Marie Little OAM Shield. Victoria has won the title twice since the tournament began in 2013 and will begin training early next year. More

Aaron takes his first steps


Aaron Jardim was born with Spina Bifida. As a result he has paralysis in his lower limbs, with some movement in his quadriceps. A year and a half ago Aaron visited the team at The Next Step Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Centre, founded by SpinChat speaker Rhiannon, in the hope of increasing his level of movement and agility. The Transport Accident Commission has extended its partnership with Independence Australia to deliver a program aimed at preventing spinal cord injury among young Victorians. The SpinChat program involves young people with spinal cord injuries visiting high school students to talk about how their injuries happened and their lives before and after.
