Key Medallion Security Network
This security network service is exclusive to Independence Australia supporters and provides confidential identification and return of lost keys and other small personal property.
The free 'return of lost property' program has been provided for over twelve years by Independence Australia, in recognition of the support of our loyal donors.
For a donation of only $40, a high quality key medallion, plus three long-life security labels will be yours. You place the medallion on your key ring, and the labels on other valuable items eg credit card, mobile phone, Ipod, camera, diary, glasses case etc.
Should any of these items become lost, the person who finds them can contact Independence Australia with the details. We will then contact you so that you can arrange return of the item.
In Memoriam Gifts
Often, after the passing of a loved one, family members look for special ways by which they can honour their memory. The family may ask that any money normally spent on flowers for the funeral is instead directed to Independence Australia.
When you are making arrangements with the Funeral Director in preparation for a funeral you can discuss your wishes for an ‘In Memoriam Gift’. The Funeral Director will then contact Independence Australia for a supply of our special ‘In Memoriam’ envelopes and arrange for them to distributed at the service.
Many families also like to mention these arrangements in the Funeral Notice that is placed in the newspaper so that those wishing to make a gift in lieu of flowers can do so directly to our organisation.
Any donation from family or friends will be recorded as a gift in memory of the deceased. The next of kin will be notified in writing of the names of all those who have contributed and the overall amount received. As with all donations over $2, In Memoriam gifts are tax deductable, and if requested, receipts will be mailed to the donors accordingly.
