Funding assistance
The main source of funding for equipment, if you are not eligible for compensation, is the Victorian Aids and Equipment Program (formerly called PADP) link to www.disability.vic.gov.au. run by the Victorian Department of Human Services. They will subsidise equipment such as wheelchairs, bathroom equipment, hoists, orthoses, pressure equipment such as cushions and mattresses, some minor home modifications, such as ramps and some minor bathroom alterations, some continence aids. Their offices are located in local regional hospitals.
