Disability Employment Agencies

There are a number of employment agencies, subsidised by the Government, specifically dedicated to finding employment for people with disabilities. To use their services you must be referred by the Disability Officer at your local Centrelink Office. If you already know of an appropriate agency, you can ask to be referred to them. A brief selection is listed below:

Diversity @ Work

This organisation assists people with disabilities to find and keep work. It provides an internet site link which gives a full list of disability employment agencies in Victoria.

WISE Employment Agency

Situated close to the city, this agency places people with disabilities in employment. It has offices in many suburbs and in NSW and Tasmania.

The Commonwealth Rehabilitation Service

The Commonwealth Rehabilitation Service has a spinal cord office catering to people with SCI and other physical disabilities. They will assist with finding employment and preparing eligible people for employment.
